The President thereafter
requested all assembled
to rise for a two-minute
silence in homage to those
who had departed.
The Minutes
of the last General Body
Meeting were read out
and passed by the House.
Thereafter,
the President requested
KS Ayaaz Khan, the Director,
to give a brief resume
of School activities over
the past year. He spoke
of the following:
-
The School
has done extremely well
in the past year in academics
with a 100% result
in Standard 10 CBSE exams,
though there were four
failures in Standard
12 CBSE exams this
year. The results have
been queried by the School
Administration and
a reply from the CBSE is
awaited.
-
The
School’s
strength has risen to
680 students (880 – counting
the Priyalok Vilas) from
a poor strength of 350
three years ago.
The President
then read out the data
pertaining to the Peter
Rogerson Memorial Fund.
He also mentioned how the
depleting funds of the OBA
were enhanced as 675 new
members joined in the previous
3 years and an addition of
INR 6.25 lakhs were added
to the OBA funds.
|
A few changes in the
Constitution of the OBA
were recommended and unanimously
passed. They were:
-
The
Executive Committee should
consist of 15 members
elected at the General
Body Meeting from amongst
those who were not members
of the previous committee.
-
Five members of
the outgoing Executive
Committee to be co-opted
by the President.
- Girls be given the
right to become members
of the OBA.
-
Principal / Director
to be the ex-officio
member without voting
rights. He has to appoint
a Secretary / Treasurer
for the OBA.
As per
the tradition, RK Sukhdevsinhji
